1931 Waco QCF-2 NC11469 recently finished by Jimmy Johnson for the family of John Cournoyer. This was the last F-2 John was working on when he passed away.

It is with great sadness I must report the passing of long-time NWC member John R. “Doc” Bussard on June 17, 2020. John was a fixture at many NWC Reunions as part of the East Coast Squadron who began coming to the Reunion as a group from NY, NJ, VT, PA, NH.

Over the years Doc owned a Waco UPF-7, a beautiful Waco UBF-2, and a Waco UKS-7 Cabin. Everyone will remember his smile and laughter combined with lots of great stories and adventures and especially his grandson Johnny who often flew with him and went on to become a military aviator himself.

Blue Skies and Tailwinds my friend.

93 year old Faribault resident, Jim Glynn, stopped by to see his old WACO UPF-7 that he owned and finished restoring in 1970. RARE Recently finished a fresh reman on this UPF and we thought it was fitting for Jim to have the old rudder skin for his wall. Although N164 has worn a couple different registrations over the years we hope the unique F-7 rudder shape on his wall provides some fond memories while he's working in his shop. Yep, Jim works out in his wood shop every day! Real History, New Standards, let's turn the next page in history together.
